Us

Architecturally speaking, you built me up

On moth wing fantasy and honeyed secrets,

Until I outshone the sun and stars.

Now I'm blind and your eyes have an ashen look,

And I think we lost our way.

I long for purple lipped summer

And watermelon seeds and

Barefoot innocence,

But you stole that

When you built me up.

***

There's a car driving into the sunset and you're in it.

Don't say goodbye, because I am Time and Breath.

I am with you.

Today we spread ourselves across the sky,

Bleeding spectral tears like smiles from a gun and

Tonight we'll throw ourselves into the fire in the sun and

Blind ourselves with unthinking kisses, res ipsa loquitor.
